Building a Business That Can Survive a Crisis

When everything is said and done, the key to your organization’s success comes down to how well you manage yourself as a leader. Bursting at the seams with real-life stories and practical tips for your everyday life (and desired future!), discover ways to be a better leader, improve your organization and ultimately, lead the life you want to lead.

Key Takeaways

38 years of leadership learning in 4 weeks!

Develop the skills and perspective to better lead in times of crisis. Build a robust toolkit of resources that you can call on for years to come to be the best leader you can be. And importantly, develop a network of peers to learn with and call on for help, each of whom is facing similar challenges and be reminded (and reassured) that you're not alone!

This four-week program is designed for organizational leaders who are looking to improve their skills and knowledge by working intensively with a small group of peers under the expert direction of two of the most progressive business leaders in the country.

The course will run for the month of July and is built upon the essays from the Zingerman’s Guide to Good Leading, Part 1: Building a Great Business. However, the exact focus of the sessions will be adapted to address specific challenges of the participants, which is why we're keeping the class size small.

Who is the course designed for?

You! And anyone looking to really dig into what it means to be a great leader. But especially entrepreneurs, owners of small-to-medium-sized businesses, key leaders in organizations of any size, and future leaders looking to build their skills and knowledge.

What's the format?

This course consists of four 2-hour virtual classroom sessions with Ari and Maggie, each with extensive pre-reading and preparation, online dialogue and conversation. Weekly pre-work will be sent to all participants a week before the next virtual classroom session.

Classroom sessions run from 10:00AM - 12:00PM EDT on July 7, 14, 21 & 28.

Session 1 – 12 Natural Laws of Business (July 7, 2020)
Use this framework of successful business practices to more effectively evaluate your strengths and weaknesses as a leader and as an organization.

Session 2 - Visioning  (July 14, 2020)
Explore this very powerful tool for achieving organizational alignment, personal fulfillment and professional success.

Session 3 - Organizational Culture (July 21, 2020)
What are the aspects of your organization's culture that you'd like to strengthen?  What would you like to minimize?

Session 4 - Sustainable Business (July 28, 2020)
There is no one secret to sustainability, which is why thinking of organizations as ecosystems is an incredibly powerful--and practical--concept.

And of course we'll also be sending you some goodies!

In addition to access to the course and all of the online materials, we want you to have something tangible to hold!  So we'll be sending you an autographed copy of Ari's Zingerman's Guide to Good Leading: Building a Great Business book as well as a pamphlet version of Zingerman's Bottom-Line Change® recipe, which is why we'll ask for your mailing address as well as your email address.

The technical details:

All course reading materials will be offered through Teachable.  Weekly classroom sessions will be conducted via Zoom Meeting.  Between-session discussions will take place on a private Slack channel.  Details on how to access all of these resources will be provided upon registration.
